The last journal I wrote over a year ago, so I thought I should at least try to do a quick update since a lot changed in 2016.
As a very split second last minute decision I started studying Masters of Animation, Games, and Interactivity, which forced me to progress and grow a lot more as a creator, and as a person (however cheesy that is).
I picked up my Japanese studies again, started running almost twice a week, left my part time job of 3 years, and most significantly, I finished writing my first ever first draft for a book after a lifetime of trying. And once it was finished, I saw it was doable and now finishing a novel has simply become the first, and possibly easier step of a very long process. This coming year I will finally be tackling the next stages on the long haul towards my lifelong dream and goal.
And for now, I have good books, good music, excellent games, and a whole lot of inspiration to work away at. So art block still plagues me, I've figured because it's become a chore to draw, something I have to do so much for uni, that I've stopped doing it for fun, and even when I have time it's never the first thing I go to anymore. Except when I have a very specific image in mind.
Still, I've had more progress with my art this year than I've had in quite some time, so there's that
2017, feeling motivated~
